Terms of use

Effective 3 September 2026 · terms-2026-09-03

These terms are the agreement between you and Circl, covering the website, the web-app and the sessions we run in Kharadi, Pune. You accept them when you create an account, buy credits, or attend a session.

1.Who we are

  • Circl is a members’ social club, run by Golcircl Experiences Pvt Ltd (CIN U93290PN2026PTC259882), a private limited company registered in India.
  • Registered office: 36, FV Road, Upper Kharadi, Pune 412207, Maharashtra, India.
  • Sessions are at Courtiers Club, Kharadi, unless a booking says otherwise.
  • Circl is a community activity service. It is not a medical, fitness, transport, childcare, security or emergency service.
  • Anything about these terms, your account, bookings, payments or refunds: write to hello@thecircl.in. We aim to reply within two business days.

2.Your account

  • You must be 18 or over and able to enter a paid agreement in India.
  • There is no self-service account for under-18s. A parent or lawful guardian who wants a managed account must write to hello@thecircl.in first. We will not assume guardian authority from an ordinary signup.
  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in codes and links to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
  • One person, one account.

3.Credits and plans

One credit books one session.

You buy credits through the plans shown on the website at the time of purchase. The plans today are:

  • Single Pass, ₹500, one-time: 1 credit. It never expires.
  • Now and Then, ₹2,000, one-time: 5 credits. They never expire.
  • Unlimited, ₹3,000 for one month: 5 credits when it starts. Every time a session you booked with an Unlimited credit is marked as attended, that credit comes back, so you can keep booking all month. A month runs from your start date to the day before the same date next month, so it is 28, 30 or 31 days. Unlimited credits expire at the end of it.

How the two kinds of credit work together

  • Pack credits and Unlimited credits are held separately.
  • If you hold both, a booking uses your Unlimited credits first, so your pack credits are kept for later.
  • Credits belong to your account. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash, except as section 7 allows.
  • Unlimited does not renew by itself. When it ends you can buy it again. If a UPI subscription is ever offered, its terms will be shown to you before you set it up.
  • Every session is subject to availability and to section 4.

When a plan starts

  • You choose the start date at checkout, up to sixty days ahead.
  • Circl runs Monday to Saturday, so a plan never starts on a Sunday. Pick one and it starts on the Monday.
  • If you buy before the club opens, your plan starts on the opening night, not the day you paid.
  • Single Pass and Now and Then credits are ready as soon as your payment is confirmed. They have no start date because they never expire.

Pre-launch offer

  • While the offer is shown on the website, a week of Unlimited costs ₹500.
  • It runs for seven days from the start date you choose.
  • It gives you 2 credits, each returned when a session you booked with one is marked as attended.
  • Anything left expires at the end of the week.
  • It is fully refundable on request, no questions asked. Write to hello@thecircl.in.

4.Booking, attending and cancelling

  • You book sessions in the web-app.
  • A credit is spent when your booking is confirmed.
  • Joining a waiting list spends nothing. A credit is spent only if a seat opens and you are moved into it, and only if you still have one.
  • How many bookings you can hold at once is simply how many credits you have.
  • You cannot hold two places at overlapping times, because you cannot be in both rooms.
  • Booking closes a short time before a session starts. The web-app shows when.
  • Cancel before the session starts and your credit comes back.
  • Do not cancel and do not attend, and the credit is used. For Unlimited, a credit comes back only when the session is marked as attended. A missed session does not return it. This is what keeps evenings open for everyone.
  • The host running the session records attendance. If you think a record is wrong, write to hello@thecircl.in within seven days and we will look at it.

5.Payments and activation

  • Payments are made on PayU’s hosted checkout. Circl creates an order for the exact plan you chose at the price shown; PayU collects and authenticates your payment method.
  • A redirect, acknowledgement or success message is not proof of payment. Circl treats a payment as complete only after its own server-to-server check matches the transaction to your account, the plan, the amount and the currency.
  • Once that check passes, your credits are added and any plan is activated automatically, normally within moments of your return from PayU.
  • If anything does not agree, activation is held and reviewed by hand, normally within two business days, and we will tell you.
  • Circl does not store your card, UPI, bank-login, PIN or OTP details. Those stay with PayU and the payment network.

6.Changes to sessions

  • The titles, hosts, times, venue and capacity shown in the web-app are the current record.
  • Circl may change or cancel a session for safety, venue, staffing or service reasons.
  • If Circl cancels a session you had booked, your credit comes back and we contact you through the channels you have agreed to.

7.Refunds

Refunds are handled by a person, not a form. Write to hello@thecircl.in from the email on your account, with your name and the plan or payment you mean.

  • The pre-launch week of Unlimited is fully refundable on request, no questions asked.
  • If a verified payment cannot be activated within two business days, you can ask for a full refund.
  • Duplicate, reversed or wrong-amount payments are reconciled and returned to the original payment method.
  • If Circl ends a plan early because it can no longer provide it, the unused part is refunded proportionately.
  • Anything else is reviewed case by case. A change of mind after credits have been used is not an automatic refund.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. PayU or bank processing time affects when the money appears.
  • Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that cannot be excluded.

8.Conduct and safety

What we expect

  • Treat other members, hosts, venue teams and Circl staff with respect.
  • Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, stalk, intimidate or endanger anyone.
  • Do not bring illegal items.
  • Do not attend while dangerously impaired.
  • Do not share another member’s personal information.
  • Follow reasonable venue and safety instructions.

What we do

  • We may pause a booking or an account while a safety or conduct concern is reviewed, and may end an account for serious or repeated breaches.
  • You can report a concern in confidence to hello@thecircl.in, and we will help you contact the police or emergency services if you ask.
  • Circl does not run background checks on members or hosts, and does not vet anyone beyond the account details they give us. We take reports seriously and we can remove people, but we cannot control how another person behaves.

9.Hosts

  • Sessions are run by hosts working with Circl.
  • Hosts are not your employees or agents, and Circl’s arrangements with them are separate from these terms.
  • If you apply to host, we will contact you about your application. Anything further is agreed in writing.

10.Photographs, video and intellectual property

We record at sessions

  • We take photographs and video at sessions and use them in Circl’s own marketing: social media, the website, and messages to members.
  • We tell you when a session is being recorded.
  • If you would rather not appear, write to hello@thecircl.in, or tell the host on the night. We will keep you out of anything we publish from then on.
  • If something is already published and you want it taken down, write to hello@thecircl.in and we will remove it.
  • We do not sell photographs or video, and we do not licence them to anyone else.

Intellectual property

  • The Circl name, wordmark, website, web-app and session formats belong to Circl or its licensors.
  • You may use them only to take part in Circl.

11.Risk and liability

You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.

  • Sessions are ordinary social activities, held in a venue Circl does not own or control.
  • Decide for yourself whether an activity suits your health, fitness and comfort. Sit out anything you would rather not do, and leave whenever you want.
  • Circl provides a host who runs the session. It does not provide medical care, security or supervision.
  • Look after your own belongings. Circl is not responsible for property lost, damaged or stolen at a session or at the venue.

What Circl does not guarantee

  • How other members, hosts, venue staff or anyone else present behaves.
  • The condition of the venue or its facilities.
  • Who will attend a session.

Limits

  • To the fullest extent the law allows, Circl is not liable for loss or injury caused by another person’s acts or omissions, for anything outside its reasonable control, or for indirect or consequential loss.
  • Circl’s total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid Circl in the three months before the claim.
  • You are responsible for what you do at a session. If Circl, a host or the venue suffers loss because you broke these terms or acted unlawfully, you will cover that loss.
  • Some liability cannot be signed away, and this section does not try to. Nothing here excludes or limits Circl’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its own negligence, for fraud, or for anything else Indian law does not allow to be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12.Ending your account

  • You can close your account any time by writing to hello@thecircl.in.
  • Unused pack credits stay with a closed account for the retention period in the privacy notice, and can be reinstated if you come back within it. They are not refunded on closure, except as section 7 provides.
  • Circl may suspend or end an account for breach of these terms, for safety reasons, or if the law requires it, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

13.Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Subject to your rights before a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Please write to hello@thecircl.in first. Most things are sorted out in a single conversation.

14.Grievances

  • Grievance officer: Nakshat Gupta.
  • Email: hello@thecircl.in.
  • Post: Golcircl Experiences Pvt Ltd, 36, FV Road, Upper Kharadi, Pune 412207, Maharashtra, India.
  • We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.

15.Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms. Each version carries a date and a version code, shown at the top of this page.
  • If a change is material, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you make a purchase.
  • We keep the version you accepted available to you.
